Sooner or later, a child who loves chess at home asks for a real tournament, and parents wonder whether their child is ready. Readiness has less to do with rating than with enjoyment and a few good habits. This guide draws on the Prime Engage Jr. Chess Championship, a national junior event that has held city qualifiers in more than a dozen cities and where no rating is needed to play.

Start with the right age category

Junior tournaments group children by age so that a six-year-old isn’t paired against a fifteen-year-old. The championship uses four categories: Under 8, Under 10, Under 12 and Under 16. Under 8 means younger than eight, so five-, six- and seven-year-olds are welcome. Check each event’s rules for how age is counted on the day before you register.

What to practise in the weeks before

A few habits help more than memorising openings. Play full games at a slower pace than casual play, ideally with a clock, so the child gets used to thinking under time pressure. Practise the basic checkmates and simple endgames until they feel automatic. Ten or fifteen minutes of puzzles a day works better than one long weekend session.

Explain the touch-move rule too. Most tournaments follow it: a piece you touch has to be moved. Young players often lose their first game over a hand that wandered, not over a bad plan.

What tournament day looks like

City qualifiers are held at community venues such as malls and halls. Registered families are added to a WhatsApp group for their city, and that group carries the date, time, venue and pairings. Arbiters oversee play, and families are welcome to come along. In Kolkata alone, hundreds of parents and siblings turned up.

Arrive early, carry water and a light snack, and let your child settle in before the first round. Ask the organisers where parents may sit, since most events keep the playing area clear.

How to talk about results

After the game, ask what your child enjoyed before you ask who won. Pick one game and look at it together. Where did they think longest? Which move would they change? A lost game that gets reviewed teaches more than a quick win that nobody discusses. Every child at the championship receives a medal and a digital certificate for taking part, so the day can be remembered for more than the scoreboard.

Meeting players who have made it

Qualifiers often welcome chief guests from chess and public life, which gives young players a look at what long-term commitment to the game can lead to. Grandmaster Dibyendu Barua visited Kolkata, International Master Akshat Khamparia Jabalpur and Grandmaster Tej Kumar Mysuru. In Thiruvananthapuram the guests were International Master Gautham Krishna and Woman Candidate Master Anupam Sreekumar, who have both represented India at youth world level. Pune welcomed Mr. Rajendra Konde, Vice President of the Maharashtra Chess Association, and Mr. Jayant Gokhale, FIDE Trainer. Mr. Unnikrishnan BK, Senior Vice President of Asianet News Network, joined the Kochi edition, and Hon’ble Mr. Satinder Pannu, Civil Judge, the one in Gwalior.

After the first tournament

A first event doesn’t have to be the last. In the championship, the top player in each category at a city qualifier goes on to the zonal championship for their region, and the top player in each category at the four zonals reaches the National Grand Finale in Mumbai on 13 December 2026. Cash prizes of ₹29,000 are awarded at every city edition, and the national prize pool is ₹10,00,000.

Where to find the next qualifier

Upcoming qualifiers include Bhopal, Patna, Ranchi, Indore, Goa, Ahmedabad and Coimbatore. City dates, venues, entry details, which vary by city, and registration are available at primeengage.in/chess. Photos and updates are shared on Instagram at @chess_with_primeengage.

About the Prime Engage Jr. Chess Championship

The Prime Engage Jr. Chess Championship is a national junior chess championship organised by Prime Engage, co-founded by Mr. Nilesh Kapile and Mr. Rahul Singhania. It follows a City Qualifier, Zonal Championship and National Grand Finale pathway across four age categories.

Chennai, India | October 8, 2026

“I came to India not for politics, but to bring back a culture – the culture of Safety. Especially for our women and children.” – Mangan Thomas Rijoy (MTR)*

Five years ago, it started with one simple question: Why should a woman feel unsafe in her own street?

That question became a campaign – “Secure Our City”.

With no NGO backing, no corporate funding, no political support – only our hard-earned money, we took a pledge to provide *10,000 FREE CCTV cameras* in selected cities across India. We started from Chennai.

In the last 5 years, we walked through every slum lane in Chennai. We didn’t just install cameras. We *secured 5,000 houses in the slums* with our own hands. No charity show. No foreign funds. Just pure service.

Our plan was simple: Create a benchmark with Secure Our City, then grow it as SecureCam India business and scale the campaign through CSR funds.

But destiny had other plans.

When you live in the slums for 5 years, CCTV is not enough.

I travelled, I slept, I ate with them. And I realized – What is the use of a CCTV camera when a family has no roof? No proper dress to wear? No food for tomorrow? No medicine when a child is sick?

A camera cannot secure a hungry stomach. A camera cannot secure a homeless family.

I thought with an NGO, I can’t do anything. The system is too big.

That day, I understood what is truly lacking in our country. And I found the solution.

That solution is DESIYA SURAKSHA PARTY (DSP)

DSP is not formed just to get political power. India has enough parties for power. *DSP is formed to ASK QUESTIONS – on behalf of 150 Crore Indians.*

Questions that no one asks:
– To the Government: Is the tax paid by a common man reaching the right hands?
– To the Top Corporates: Who stole the nation’s tax and how do we make sure it reaches back to the Government and to the people?
– To the System: Why are there still orphans in a nation that worships family?

Our Agenda is not promises, it is a Guarantee of Living:

1. *Own House for Every Indian:* Minimum 500 sq ft own house for every family.
2. *Dignity:* Good, quality dress for every citizen.
3. *International Standard Education & Healthcare – Absolutely FREE.*
4. *No More Orphans in India:* Every child will have a family, a home, and a future. The State will be the parent if no one else is.
5. *Suraksha for Women & Children as a Fundamental Right, not a scheme.*

This is not charity. This is the right of every Indian. Because we calculated – If India’s total wealth – its gold, its property, its minerals, its forests, its natural resources worth over Rs 10,000 Lakh Crore is truly accounted for, every family of 4 deserves to be a Crorepati. We are asset-rich, but our people are kept cash-poor.

DSP will ensure that wealth reaches the people.

Today, we are starting from where our journey started – *Tamil Nadu and Kerala.*

I, Mangan Thomas Rijoy (MTR), President, Desiya Suraksha Party, invite every Indian who believes that safety is not just about cameras, but about food, house, health, education and dignity – to join hands.

We secured 5000 houses with our money. Now, let’s secure 150 Crore lives.
SECURE OUR CITY Campaign NEVER ENDS!
After DSP First Maanadu on Dec 10, 2026, the campaign will spread across India.
Every House & Building will get Minimum Security Guarantee with Proper Security Audit.

DESIYA SURAKSHA PARTY FIRST MAANADU – DEC 10, 2026! Chennai ‘ Tamilnadu

JOIN HANDS WITH DSP.

For Media Queries:
Desiya Suraksha Party
President: Mangan Thomas Rijoy (MTR)
Tamil Nadu & Kerala Unit
Website: https://secureourcity.org/

Aspiring models from North India may soon have a new route into the glamour industry, with CDF VENTURE announcing MR & MISS NORTH INDIA GLAMOUR. The modelling competition will allow girls to participate without a registration or participation fee, according to the organisers. Prince Narula has been confirmed as a judge, while Nisha and Priyanka, known for their appearances on MTV shows, are also part of the announced panel.

The company says the show will focus on fresh talent and aims to give newcomers a chance to present themselves before entertainment personalities. Two Bollywood personalities and three additional reality show personalities are also expected to join the judging panel. The organisers plan to conduct online auditions and hold semifinal rounds across several cities in North India.

MR & MISS NORTH INDIA GLAMOUR Puts Free Entry for Girls at the Centre

The main feature of MR & MISS NORTH INDIA GLAMOUR is its no-fee entry for female contestants. For many young women, the first step into modelling can bring financial challenges. Registration charges, portfolio costs, travel, and grooming expenses can make it hard to pursue opportunities, especially for those who are new to the field.

CDF VENTURE says it wants to remove the participation fee for girls and give them a chance to compete without that initial expense. The format aims to reach candidates who have the interest and confidence to model but may not have the budget to enter conventional competitions.

The organisers describe the event as a first-of-its-kind format in India. This claim has not been independently verified, but the free-entry approach is the central feature of the announcement.

The company hopes that the format will encourage applications from different backgrounds, including girls who have not previously taken part in a professional modelling show.

Prince Narula Confirmed as Judge

Prince Narula will be part of the judging panel for the event. His career in reality television has made him a familiar name among young viewers who follow competitive entertainment shows.

Nisha and Priyanka, both associated with MTV shows, have also been announced as judges. CDF VENTURE has said that two Bollywood personalities and three more reality television personalities will be added to the panel.

The organisers expect the panel to bring different forms of entertainment experience to the competition. For newcomers, a modelling show with known television personalities can offer a chance to demonstrate their presentation, confidence, and ability to perform under pressure.

The final judging lineup and the process for selecting contestants are expected to be detailed by the company as the event moves forward.

Online Auditions to Reach Contestants Across North India

CDF VENTURE plans to hold the initial auditions online. The company says it introduced online auditions for modelling events in 2017, when this approach was less common in the industry.

The organisers have announced the following cities for the semifinal stage: Delhi, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Jaipur, Jalandhar, Dehradun, Dharamshala, and Shimla.

This spread of locations could help candidates from different parts of North India take part without travelling to one central location for every stage. Online auditions may be especially useful for girls who live far from major fashion and entertainment centres.

Applicants should still check the official announcement for audition dates, eligibility criteria, submission requirements, and details of any travel needed for the later rounds.

Sunny Verma Wants a Different Format for Modelling Shows

Sunny Verma, owner of CDF VENTURE, said the company wanted to move away from the repeated formats seen in many modelling competitions.

He said, “Many modelling shows across the country follow similar formats. We felt there was a need for a different approach. Young people are showing more interest in modelling and acting, and they need opportunities that are easier to access.”

Sunny Verma also spoke about the role modelling can play in a wider entertainment career. He said newcomers often use modelling to gain camera experience and visibility before pursuing advertisements, Bollywood movies, OTT projects, television, and reality shows.

He believes the first opportunity should give aspiring artists room to present their abilities and learn about the industry. According to him, MR & MISS NORTH INDIA GLAMOUR has been planned with this aim in mind.

CDF VENTURE says it has worked with freshers through modelling events and online audition formats for several years. The new show is intended to build on that experience while offering free participation for girls.

Ayush Sharma Says the Focus Is on Supporting Young Talent

Ayush Sharma, managing director of CDF VENTURE, has welcomed the concept. A trained theatre artist and aspiring actor, he said he was excited about the opportunity to bring new faces into a competitive setting.

He also said the company was prepared to give priority to initiatives that support young people, even if that meant placing less focus on short-term profits.

The organisers have announced prizes for winners, planned celebrity collaborations for top achievers, and free portfolio shoots for finalists. These benefits are intended to help selected contestants build their profiles for future modelling and casting opportunities.

A portfolio can help a newcomer present their appearance and range to potential clients. However, the details of the prizes and celebrity collaborations have not yet been fully announced. Contestants should review the final terms before making plans around these benefits.

Preeti Singh Supports Opportunities for Girls From Smaller Cities

Preeti Singh, a Noida-based makeup artist and head official at CDF VENTURE, has also backed the announcement. She believes that girls from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities need access to platforms where they can present their talent without a high initial financial burden.

Preeti Singh said she began her own journey as a contestant with the company. That experience, she explained, gave her a better view of the challenges faced by newcomers and shaped her interest in supporting people entering the glamour industry.

Her involvement reflects the organisers’ aim to reach beyond established fashion centres. For many aspiring models, the lack of contacts and opportunities can be as difficult as the cost of entering a competition.

The online audition format and free entry for girls are intended to make the first step easier.

Male Category Will Follow a Pairing Format

The show includes male and female categories, but CDF VENTURE has clarified that male contestants cannot apply directly under the current format. Male models can apply to participate as a pair with a female contestant.

This rule gives male applicants a different route into the event while keeping the no-fee entry offer for girls at the centre of the announcement. The pairing requirements and selection rules should be checked through the organisers before applying.

CDF VENTURE Builds on Its Previous Modelling Events

CDF VENTURE says it has organised modelling shows for freshers and introduced online auditions in 2017. The company has also worked with Prince Narula on earlier shows, according to the organisers.

MR & MISS NORTH INDIA GLAMOUR brings together online auditions, semifinal locations across North India, and a judging panel that includes reality television personalities. The organisers plan to announce more names for the panel as preparations continue.

The event’s final reach will depend on the application process, selection criteria, and opportunities available to contestants after the competition. Still, its announced free-entry format for girls gives it a clear focus on accessibility.

A Platform for Girls Ready to Take Their First Step

MR & MISS NORTH INDIA GLAMOUR is aimed at girls who want to try modelling, gain experience, and seek a route towards the wider entertainment industry. With no participation fee for female contestants, the show may appeal to newcomers who have been waiting for an opportunity to present their talent.

Prince Narula’s confirmed role, the planned addition of more judges, online auditions, and free portfolios for finalists are among the main features announced by CDF VENTURE.

The organisers expect entries from cities across North India, including candidates who are new to modelling. For those interested, the next step is to check the official application details, eligibility rules, and audition schedule before registering.

MUMBAI — Close your eyes in any great film and the picture disappears, but the place remains. A railway platform at dusk. A market lane an hour before the shutters come down. A courtyard where a festival is still some distance away and already audible. Long before an actor speaks, sound has told the audience where they are, and whether to believe it.

For productions set in India, that promise is hard to keep. The country’s acoustic character shifts with every street, season and hour, and it is difficult to reproduce from a generic catalogue.

A sound engineer has spent his career on the other side of that problem, and has now built a different answer to it.

Manipulate Audio Library, presented by its founders as India’s first original library dedicated to authentic Indian ambience, has been created for professional film and media sound. It is a venture of Manipulate & Family, founded and owned by Dushyant Shah, an sound engineer, Supervising Sound Editor and Re-recording Mixer based in Mumbai.

The invisible half of the frame , Ambience is the least visible layer of a soundtrack and one of the most consequential. It gives a location its identity, lets dialogue sit naturally in a space, and carries the emotional temperature of a scene without announcing itself. When it is right, nobody notices. When it is wrong, audiences sense that something is off even if they cannot say what.

The usual remedies are costly. A full location recording for every production demands time, travel and access that schedules rarely allow. The alternative, a stand-in sound that is almost right, quietly flattens the world a director has worked to build.

A library recorded where life happens

Manipulate Audio Library holds original recordings captured in real Indian environments in high definition. The collection is organised for professional discovery, so that an ambience editor or re-recording mixer can find a place and bring it directly into a session.

The approach is deliberately simple. Rather than synthesise or approximate, the library records the places themselves and makes them available to the people who need them: streets and markets, villages, stations, temples, neighbourhoods, festivals and open landscapes.

The Person behind it

The idea came from the working day of a sound professional. Shah’s practice runs across the full length of a film’s soundtrack: dialogue editing, ambience and sound effects editing, hard and soft effects, ADR and dubbing editing, and re-recording mixing. He also records and mixes music, and works in immersive formats including Dolby Atmos.

From that position, he recognised how valuable a dependable source of genuine Indian recordings would be to colleagues across the industry. Manipulate Audio Library is the result of that recognition: a resource built by a working sound editor for working sound teams.

Proposed founder quote — pending approval by Dushyant Shah: “When a story is set in India, the audience should hear India, not an approximation of it. This library exists so that sound teams can begin with the real thing.”

For the people who build a film’s world

The library is designed for production sound mixers, Supervising Sound Editors, ambience editors, Foley and sound effects editors, and re-recording mixers, as well as filmmakers, production houses and post-production studios. Game sound designers form part of its intended audience.

Its reach is not limited to Indian cinema. International productions that set stories in India face the same challenge, often with less access to the locations themselves. For those teams, a catalogue of authentic recordings offers a practical way to build Indian environments with accuracy.

Access to genuine location sound can help teams work more efficiently, strengthen a scene’s sense of place, and reduce reliance on generic stand-ins. It does not replace the craft of sound design and mixing. It supplies that craft with better material.

Licensing and bespoke recording

The company offers royalty-free sound licensing, subject to its applicable licence terms. Productions that need something the library does not yet hold can commission custom sound recording of a particular location, environment or sound.

A long view

Shah’s own website speaks of a commitment to mentoring the next generation of sound professionals, and describes Manipulate Audio as community-led. The library reflects that outlook: it treats India’s sonic diversity as a body of work worth recording with care and sharing with those who tell the country’s stories on screen.

Film is a medium of illusion, but the best illusions rest on something true. For sound, that begins with the place itself.

About Manipulate Audio Library

Manipulate Audio Library is a venture of Manipulate & Family, founded and owned by Dushyant Shah. It offers original, high-definition Indian ambience recordings for film and media sound production, royalty-free licensing subject to applicable terms, and custom sound recording services. Based in Mumbai, it serves professionals in India and internationally.

About Dushyant Shah

Dushyant Shah is an audio engineer, Supervising Sound Editor and Re-recording Mixer based in Mumbai. His work spans sound, dialogue and ambience editing, ADR and dubbing editing, sound mixing, music recording and mixing, and immersive audio formats including Dolby Atmos.

Jaipur: Continuing its focus on experiential learning and cultural education, Neerja Modi School, Jaipur organised a hands-on Dabu Printing Workshop for its Grade VII students, offering them an opportunity to explore one of Rajasthan’s most distinctive traditional textile crafts.

The workshop was conducted by Dheeraj Chhipa from Bagru, a seventh-generation practitioner of the traditional Dabu printing craft. Through demonstrations and practical activities, students learnt about the centuries-old resist-printing technique and experienced how natural materials, traditional wooden blocks and indigenous craftsmanship come together to create intricate textile designs.

Students were introduced to the preparation and application of the traditional Dabu resist paste, made using locally sourced materials. They then used hand-carved wooden blocks to create their own patterns on fabric, experimenting with motifs inspired by Rajasthan’s rich artistic heritage. Peacocks, camels, butterflies and other traditional designs became a part of their creative exploration.

The workshop also highlighted the sustainable nature of traditional textile practices, helping students understand the use of natural materials and traditional dyeing methods. The interaction with a seventh-generation artisan gave students valuable insight into the patience, skill and generational knowledge required to preserve India’s traditional crafts.

A memorable collaborative activity saw two students create a butterfly design across two adjoining pieces of fabric, demonstrating how teamwork and precision can transform individual efforts into a single, meaningful creation.

The Dabu Printing Workshop at Neerja Modi School Jaipur went beyond an art activity, connecting students with Rajasthan’s living cultural heritage through hands-on learning. Such initiatives reflect the school’s commitment to providing students with enriching educational experiences that foster creativity, collaboration, sustainability and an appreciation of India’s cultural traditions.

There are moments when recognition becomes more than a trophy, more than a certificate and more than a name on an award announcement. The Durga Shakti Award 2026 by Cherry Book Awards is conceived as a celebration of women whose journeys reflect courage, achievement, creativity, resilience and purposeful contribution.

The 2026 honourees represent remarkably different worlds. Their stories extend across literature, technology, law, classical arts, visual creativity, leadership, research, media and personal transformation. What connects them is not a common profession, but the individuality of their journeys and the determination with which they have pursued their respective paths.

Cherry Book Awards has brought together Madhurima Guruju, Rakhi Haridas, Kristal Baith, Roopa Modha, Sailee Tiwari, Twisha Ray, Kelly West and Jenney Clark as Winners of the Durga Shakti Award 2026.

Together, they create a portrait of contemporary achievement in which strength can take many forms.

Madhurima Guruju: Literature With Emotional Resonance

Madhurima Guruju brings together the worlds of teaching, writing and performance poetry. An award winning author and educator, she has developed a literary identity rooted in emotional honesty and human experience. Her works, including Musings and Memories Part 2 and Hyderabad to Stardom, reflect her ability to transform observation, emotion and everyday experiences into literary expression. Her recognition adds a distinguished chapter to a journey that continues to connect literature with the spoken and performed word.

Rakhi Haridas: Technology, Leadership and Classical Art

Rakhi Haridas represents an extraordinary convergence of professional and creative disciplines. An IT professional and leadership and transformation coach, she is also a Kuchipudi dancer, educator, author and artist. Her artistic journey includes advanced Kuchipudi training, Carnatic music and teaching through her dance school, Sri Halasyam. She has also published poetry, personal development writing and crime fiction. Her journey demonstrates how technology, leadership, classical arts and literature can exist within one evolving professional identity.

Kristal Baith: A Distinctive Journey of Achievement

Kristal Baith joins the 2026 cohort as a woman whose individual journey adds another dimension to the Durga Shakti Award. Her recognition reflects the broader philosophy of the honour, which embraces women from different backgrounds and celebrates achievement through individuality, perseverance and purposeful work. Her place among the 2026 recipients contributes to the diversity of voices and experiences represented by this year’s recognition.

Roopa Modha: An Extraordinary Multidisciplinary Presence

Few profiles encompass as many creative and professional dimensions as Roopa Modha. An internationally recognised media personality, attorney, writer, poet, lyricist, pageant queen, dancer, choreographer and social advocate, she has built a career spanning law, literature, entertainment and philanthropy. Her literary portfolio includes three published books and thousands of published articles, while her artistic journey encompasses multiple dance traditions. Her advocacy has included women’s rights, girls’ education, anti bullying initiatives and social welfare. Her recognition through the Durga Shakti Award 2026 acknowledges a remarkably broad body of professional and creative work.

Sailee Tiwari: Where Technology Meets Creativity

Sailee Tiwari represents a compelling modern intersection of technology and artistic expression. An award winning author, poet, visual artist and Software Engineering Senior Technical Lead, she has published seven books and contributed to more than a dozen literary anthologies. Her works include Extra Ordinary, Reviving Tales, Eternal Trudges and The Guarded Flame of Petals. She is also the editor and creator of Peace and Panacea and has received recognition across literary and creative platforms. Her journey demonstrates that technical expertise and artistic sensitivity can flourish together.

Twisha Ray: The Contemporary Voice of Literature and Technology

Twisha Ray brings together technology, literature, analytical thinking and emotional sensitivity. A Computer Science Engineer and MBA professional specialising in Human Resources and Business Analytics, she has developed a literary voice concerned with human emotions, relationships, social dynamics and real world experiences. Her interests also extend to nature, animals, environmental consciousness and visual creativity. Her recognition through the Durga Shakti Award 2026 follows her earlier recognition through the Sahitya Ratna Samman 2026 for Most Innovative Writer, further documenting her distinctive multidisciplinary journey.

Kelly West: Creativity, Visual Expression and Storytelling

Kelly West adds an international creative dimension to the 2026 cohort. Her professional and artistic work reflects a deep engagement with visual expression and storytelling. Her artistic portfolio encompasses beach scenes, wildlife, ocean animals, landscapes, pet portraits and murals, demonstrating an expansive relationship with the natural world and visual creativity. Her work illustrates another important dimension of the Durga Shakti Award, where creative contribution can emerge through forms beyond traditional literary and professional disciplines.

Jenney Clark: Literature, Ancient Wisdom and Human Resilience

Jenney Clark is an award winning author, researcher, podcast host and esoteric scholar based in Hyderabad. The author of nine books, including Cryptid: Falling into Time, she brings together literature, ancient mysteries, esoteric philosophy, archetypal psychology and human experience. Through her Awakened Souls podcast, writing and research, she has explored resilience, trauma, recovery, identity and personal sovereignty. Her work also includes essays for the CPTSD Foundation in the United States. Her Durga Shakti Award recognition reflects a distinctive body of work shaped by literature, research, experience and an enduring interest in the deeper dimensions of human life.

Different Journeys, One Celebration of Women

The significance of the Durga Shakti Award 2026 lies in the breadth of the women it brings together. These recipients do not represent a single definition of success.

Madhurima Guruju brings literary expression and performance. Rakhi Haridas bridges technology, leadership and classical dance. Kristal Baith adds another distinctive individual journey. Roopa Modha brings together law, media, literature, dance and advocacy. Sailee Tiwari connects technology with poetry and visual creativity. Twisha Ray represents the evolving relationship between technology and contemporary literature. Kelly West brings visual art and creative storytelling into the conversation. Jenney Clark connects literature, research, ancient wisdom and resilience.

The award therefore becomes a celebration of possibility itself.

Inspired by the enduring symbolism associated with Goddess Durga, the recognition places emphasis on qualities such as courage, determination, strength and purposeful achievement. It acknowledges women not merely for occupying a particular professional position, but for the journeys they have built through talent, discipline, creativity and perseverance. The Durga Shakti Award 2026 forms part of Cherry Book Awards’ wider recognition and celebration of these women as individuals, recognising the journeys they have created and the remarkable possibilities represented by their work.

Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh — The Lucknow Tennis Cricket League (LTCL) 2026 is set to create a new competitive platform for tennis-ball cricket players across Uttar Pradesh. The main event is scheduled for October 4, 2026, at K.D. Singh Babu Stadium in Lucknow, bringing together talented players selected through city-wise trials across the state.

The Lucknow Tennis Cricket League aims to identify promising tennis-ball cricket talent and provide players with an opportunity to compete at a larger and more organized level. The initiative is expected to attract aspiring cricketers from different cities who are looking for greater exposure beyond local tournaments.

Lucknow Tennis Cricket Trials to Be Held Across Uttar Pradesh

As part of LTCL 2026, city-wise tennis cricket trials are being organized across Uttar Pradesh. The first trial in Lucknow is scheduled for August 17, 2026, followed by trials in cities including Varanasi, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Azamgarh, Jaunpur, Moradabad, Agra and Noida.

The trials are intended to give players from different backgrounds an opportunity to demonstrate their batting, bowling, wicketkeeping and all-round abilities. Selected players will have the chance to progress toward the main Lucknow Tennis Cricket League event.

With tennis-ball cricket having a strong grassroots following in Uttar Pradesh, the city-wise trial model could help bring players from local cricket communities into a more structured competitive environment.

International Cricket Experience Associated With LTCL

Another highlight of LTCL 2026 is its association with international cricket personalities. New Zealand international cricketer Jesse Ryder has joined the league as its brand ambassador, while Sri Lankan cricketer Lakshitha Ranasinghe is associated with the league as a mentor.

Their involvement is expected to add an international perspective to the competition while giving participating players access to cricket experience and guidance beyond their local playing environments.

For emerging tennis-ball cricket players, exposure to experienced cricket professionals can provide valuable insights into preparation, performance and competitive cricket.

Open-Age Tennis-Ball Cricket Tournament

The Lucknow Tennis Cricket League is planned as an open-age tennis-ball cricket tournament, allowing players from different age groups to participate through designated playing categories.

Registration categories currently include Batsman/Bowler at ₹699 and Wicketkeeper-Batsman/All-rounder at ₹899. Registrations are open for players interested in participating through the city-wise trial process.

The league’s focus extends beyond conducting matches. LTCL aims to provide talented tennis-ball cricket players with greater visibility and a platform where their skills can be noticed by a wider cricket audience.

LTCL 2026 to Bring Players to K.D. Singh Babu Stadium

The main Lucknow Tennis Cricket League 2026 event is scheduled for October 4 at K.D. Singh Babu Stadium in Lucknow. Players selected through the various trials across Uttar Pradesh are expected to come together for the main competition.

The league also plans to provide television and OTT coverage of its matches. If implemented as planned, live broadcasting could give participating players an opportunity to showcase their performances to audiences beyond their local cricket communities.

For Uttar Pradesh’s growing tennis-ball cricket community, this combination of city-wise trials, competitive matches, experienced cricket personalities and planned media coverage could make LTCL 2026 an important event for grassroots cricket talent.

A New Opportunity for Tennis-Ball Cricket Players in Uttar Pradesh

The Lucknow Tennis Cricket League is positioning itself as a platform focused on talent identification, competitive exposure and opportunities for tennis-ball cricket players.

As the August trials and October 4 main event approach, players across Uttar Pradesh will be looking toward LTCL 2026 as an opportunity to take their tennis-ball cricket experience to a larger stage.

With Lucknow serving as the host city and K.D. Singh Babu Stadium scheduled to host the main event, the league could further contribute to the growing visibility of tennis-ball cricket in Uttar Pradesh.

India’s retail trading market is changing as more individuals enter equities, index derivatives and other financial markets. Easier access to trading platforms and market information has lowered the entry barrier for new participants. Yet one challenge remains for many aspiring traders: having enough capital to trade at a larger scale.

This is where funded trading in India is gaining attention. The model allows traders to take part in structured evaluation programs where their trading skills, discipline and risk management are assessed against set rules. Platforms such as Trade Bridges are now entering this space with evaluation-based trading programs aimed at traders who want to demonstrate their abilities without relying only on their own trading capital.

The Capital Problem Facing Many Traders

For a new trader, building market knowledge can take time. Traders often study price movements, technical indicators, market trends and risk management before developing their own strategies.

But knowledge alone does not solve the capital problem.

A trader may have a tested strategy and still operate with a small personal account. With limited funds, the size of each position must remain small. Even when a trade performs well, the financial result may be limited.

Adding more personal capital is not an option for every trader. Some may prefer not to put a large portion of their savings at risk while they are still developing their trading process.

Funded trading programs offer a different structure. Instead of making personal capital the only starting point, these programs can assess traders based on how they perform under defined trading conditions.

How the Funded Trading Model Works

The basic idea behind a funded trading evaluation is straightforward.

A trader selects an account or evaluation plan and trades according to a set of rules. The rules can cover areas such as profit targets, maximum losses, drawdown, position size and other risk limits.

The trader must then meet the required conditions without violating the account rules.

This means that simply making money is not always enough. A trader may need to show that profits were generated while maintaining control over risk.

Once the evaluation requirements are met, the trader may become eligible for the next stage of the program, depending on the terms of the platform.

The exact conditions differ between providers, so traders need to read the rules before joining any program.

Why Consistency Matters

Trading performance can vary from one day to another. A single profitable position can create a large return, but that does not necessarily show that a trader has a repeatable strategy.

This is one reason evaluation programs place attention on consistency.

A trader who takes excessive risk to reach a target may find it difficult to stay within a program’s drawdown or daily loss limits. Another trader may make smaller returns but manage positions with greater control.

Risk management can therefore become as important as the profit target itself.

For traders, this can provide a useful test of whether their strategy works under pressure and whether they can follow their own rules during both winning and losing periods.

Trade Bridges Enters the Funded Trading Segment

Trade Bridges is an Indian proprietary trading evaluation platform that is building its model around structured trading challenges.

The platform describes its service as a technology-driven environment where traders can demonstrate their skills through predefined evaluation criteria. Its approach focuses on areas such as consistency, risk management and disciplined trading rather than relying on a single profitable trade.

Trade Bridges provides simulated trading experiences using real-time market data and professional trading analytics. Traders can choose from available account structures and operate within the conditions linked to their selected evaluation.

The company’s approach is built around a simple principle: traders should be able to demonstrate their ability before progressing through the evaluation process.

Simulated Accounts Play a Key Role

An important part of the evaluation model is the use of simulated trading accounts.

In a simulated environment, traders can experience market movements and execute trades based on real-time market information without treating the account balance as their own deposited capital.

For an evaluation platform, this provides a way to measure a trader’s decisions against predefined conditions.

For traders, it can also provide a controlled environment to assess their strategy. They can see how their approach performs when faced with winning trades, losing trades and changes in market conditions.

However, simulated trading should not be confused with guaranteed market returns. Performance in an evaluation does not remove the risks that exist in financial markets.

Young Traders Are Looking for New Ways to Build Skills

India’s growing retail market has brought a younger audience into trading discussions. Many aspiring traders now use online courses, market research, charting platforms and financial content to learn about trading.

Social media has also made trading strategies more visible to a wider audience. This has increased interest in both investing and active trading.

But greater access to information does not always translate into better trading decisions.

New traders can still make mistakes with position sizing, stop-loss levels and risk exposure. Some may also focus too much on short-term profits.

Evaluation-based programs can place more attention on the process behind a trade. A trader must consider not only whether a position can make money but also how much can be lost if the trade moves in the wrong direction.

Funded Trading Is Not a Shortcut to Profit

The growing interest in funded trading should not be confused with a promise of easy income.

Trading remains a high-risk activity. No evaluation program can guarantee that a trader will make profits.

Each funded trading provider may use different rules. These can include evaluation fees, trading restrictions, drawdown limits, profit targets and conditions for progressing through different stages.

Traders should review these terms carefully before participating.

They should also understand whether the account is simulated or live, how performance is measured and what happens if an account rule is breached.

These details can have a major effect on the trading experience.

The Model Changes the Capital Question

The main appeal of funded trading is not simply access to a larger account.

It is the change in how trading ability is assessed.

Traditional trading generally requires an individual to provide their own capital. Under an evaluation model, a trader can first be tested on their ability to manage risk and follow a strategy within a defined framework.

This does not remove the need for capital or risk management. Instead, it creates another route for traders who believe their main limitation is account size rather than a lack of market knowledge.

The approach also places greater importance on discipline.

A trader who cannot follow risk limits may struggle regardless of account size. A trader who has a clear strategy and follows defined rules may be better positioned to handle a structured evaluation.

Trade Bridges Focuses on Discipline and Performance

Trade Bridges says its platform is designed for traders who want to demonstrate their skills through structured challenges.

Its model puts trading discipline, risk management and consistency at the centre of the evaluation process. The use of simulated trading and real-time market data gives participants a way to test their decisions within a defined environment.

The platform is part of a wider shift in the trading industry toward performance-based evaluation models.

As this segment develops in India, traders are likely to compare platforms based on their rules, account structures, evaluation conditions and overall transparency.

For providers, maintaining clear trading conditions will remain important as more participants enter the market.

What the Growth of Funded Trading Could Mean for India

The rise of funded trading in India reflects a wider change in the retail trading market.

For years, the size of a trader’s personal account was one of the main limits on how far they could take their trading strategy. Evaluation-based models introduce a different approach by testing the trader’s ability to manage risk within predefined conditions.

This may appeal to traders who have developed a strategy but do not want to commit large amounts of their own money.

The model is still developing, and its long-term role in India’s trading ecosystem will depend on how platforms structure their programs and how traders use them.

For participants, the basic principles remain the same: understand the market, manage risk, follow a trading plan and avoid taking positions based only on the hope of quick returns.

Trade Bridges Looks to Build on the Evaluation Model

Trade Bridges is positioning its platform around traders who want a structured way to test their market skills.

Its evaluation programs are designed to assess traders using predefined criteria rather than judging performance from one isolated trade. The company also focuses on simulated trading, market data and performance analysis as part of its platform.

For Indian traders considering this model, the key question may not be how quickly they can reach a profit target. It may be whether they can maintain a consistent process while staying within the required risk limits.

That distinction could become more important as funded trading gains greater attention among retail market participants.

More information about Trade Bridges, its evaluation structure and its trading programs is available at tradebridges.in.

As India’s retail trading community continues to grow, models that connect trading skill with access to larger simulated accounts may receive more attention. Whether funded trading becomes a major part of the market will depend on trader demand, platform practices and the ability of participants to manage risk over time.

Disclaimer: This article is for informational purposes only and is not financial or trading advice. Funded trading involves risk, and traders should review all terms and conditions before participating.

For more than three decades, Bijon Devnath has worked across several parts of India’s entertainment and dance industry, building a career that connects Bollywood choreography, television production, live performances and dance education. His professional journey began in Mumbai after moving from Agartala, Tripura, at a young age.

Devnath entered the Mumbai dance scene at a time when establishing a career depended heavily on training, performance experience and industry relationships. His early years included formal dance training under Shiamak Davar at Nana Chowk. He later worked with several established choreographers, gaining experience in film songs, stage performances and movement for the camera.

A Mumbai Journey That Started With Dance

Devnath’s move from Agartala to Mumbai marked the beginning of a long association with the city’s entertainment industry. Without an established film-industry background, he built his career through dance training and professional assignments.

His work with choreographers such as Ganesh Acharya, the late Saroj Khan, Remo D’Souza, Pony Verma and Vaibhavi Merchant became part of his professional journey. Each association brought exposure to different forms of choreography and production work.

Film choreography demands more than dance technique. Performers must understand rhythm, expressions, camera movement, spacing and continuity. Devnath’s career has included work across these areas, both as a choreographer and as a trainer.

Dance Academy Becomes a Major Part of His Work

Alongside choreography, Devnath developed a long-term career in dance education through the Bijon Dance Academy in Mumbai.

Over more than 30 years, the academy and its associated workshops have trained more than six lakh students. The students have come from different age groups and professional backgrounds, including young performers preparing for careers in television and cinema.

The list of actors and performers associated with Devnath’s training includes Ranveer Singh, Vishal Jethwa, Khushi Dubey, Aashika Bhatia, Avika Gor, Dev Joshi, Darshan Gurjar, Swini Khara, Saloni Daini, Gracy Goswami and Kalyanji Jana.

For young actors, dance training can play a role in developing body control and stage confidence. Devnath’s teaching has combined dance practice with performance preparation, giving students experience in group choreography and stage presentation.

Mentoring Beyond the Classroom

Devnath’s influence as a teacher has also extended to dancers who went on to develop professional careers of their own.

His list of mentored choreographers includes Mudassar Khan, Siddhesh Pai, Rahul Thombre, Bobby Batra and twins Sumeet and Saahil. Several dancers connected with his training network have also worked outside India.

Vivek Pathak has continued his dance career in Canada, Vineesha D’costa in Abu Dhabi and Rajesh Chauhan in London. His wider student and trainer network also includes Labhesh Solanki, Deepu Singh, Sohail Shaikh, Yusuf Khan and Jay Bhattacharya.

This continued movement of students into professional dance has become one of the defining parts of Devnath’s work.

Film Choreography and the Homebound Connection

Devnath’s Bollywood career includes collaborations with leading choreographers and work associated with film productions.

His professional journey includes associations with Ganesh Acharya, Saroj Khan, Remo D’Souza, Pony Verma and Vaibhavi Merchant. Through these assignments, he gained experience in song choreography, performer preparation and production-based dance work.

His filmography also includes associate track choreography work connected with Homebound, a project featuring Vishal Jethwa. The film has received attention within the independent and festival film circuit, placing Devnath’s choreography work alongside a project outside the conventional commercial song-and-dance format.

Film choreography can involve several stages of production. Choreographers and dance teams must work with directors, performers and camera crews while keeping movement aligned with the visual plan of a scene.

Television Added Another Dimension

Devnath’s career has also included television work across major Indian entertainment networks.

He has worked as a freelance choreographer and mentor on productions linked with Sony Entertainment Television, Colors TV and Star Plus. His television assignments have also included work with Frames Production Company Pvt Ltd.

Television dance requires quick preparation because performances are often produced around fixed shooting schedules. Rehearsals, costume changes, camera positions and editing plans all affect the final sequence.

Devnath’s experience in both live and recorded formats has allowed him to work with performers under different production conditions.

Large-Scale Tribute Performances

Live entertainment has been another long-running part of Devnath’s career.

He worked on tribute performances associated with the Indian Television Academy Awards in 2006 and 2007 and the Zee Gold Awards in 2012. His work with the ITA Awards involved collaboration with Shashi Ranjan, President of the Indian Television Academy.

Another major stage assignment was a tribute to Amitabh Bachchan at the ICICI Bank Awards. Devnath choreographed the performance, which received a standing ovation from Bachchan.

His live choreography credits also include touring properties such as the Kalyanji Anandji Little Star Kids Show, Johnny Lever Nite and Amit Kumar Live.

Six Years of School Dance Training

Devnath’s work has not been limited to professional entertainment. He has also spent years working with schools in Mumbai.

At Thakur Public School in Thakur Village, Kandivali, he served as lead dance instructor for six years. During this period, the school’s dance team won first place in an inter-school dance competition on two consecutive occasions. More than 55 schools took part in the competitions.

His institutional work has also included Swami Vivekanand International School, St. Mary’s ICSE ISC & International School, Queen Mary’s School, St. Agnes High School and VIBGYOR High School.

These assignments gave students access to structured choreography and regular performance training while preparing them for school-level competitions and events.

Awards Across India and Overseas

Devnath’s career has also been marked by awards presented at industry and public events.

His honours include the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2021, followed by Dadasaheb Phalke International Icon Awards recognition in Dubai in 2023 and 2025. He received the Bollywood Iconic Achievement Award in 2024 and the International Pride Award in 2025.

His other listed honours include the Youth Icon Indian Award, IIFTA Award, Rashtriya Achiever Award, Gold Icon National Award and Global Glory Award.

Award presentations have involved personalities including Sonu Sood, Bhagyashree, Mandakini, Udit Narayan and Vindu Dara Singh.

A Career Shaped by the Guru-Student Relationship

Teaching remains central to Devnath’s view of dance. His personal philosophy places importance on the role of a guru in an artist’s development.

His stated mantra, “No fame, no gain without a guru,” reflects a career built around learning and passing knowledge to others.

That approach can be seen across his work with professional dancers, actors, school students and aspiring choreographers. His career has moved between studios, film sets, television stages and live events, but teaching has remained a constant thread.

What Comes Next for Bijon Devnath

Devnath is preparing for the next phase of his career with his life story being developed for an international book planned for launch in Dubai. He is also nominated for an Indian government award.

After more than 30 years in Mumbai, his professional record covers choreography, television, live entertainment and dance education. From his early years after arriving from Agartala to his work with performers and students, Bijon Devnath’s career reflects the long path of a dance professional who has remained active both on stage and behind the training floor.

His next chapter is expected to continue that combination of choreography and teaching, with a focus on the performers and dancers who carry their training into the next generation.

Dr. Ambar Pare, a naturopathy practitioner and health educator from Madhya Pradesh, has developed his professional work around naturopathy, Ayurveda, yoga, pranayama and traditional Indian health practices. His work is based in Duliya, Harda district, where he set up the Dr. Ambar Pare Naturopathy Center in 2020.

His professional interests cover natural health, lifestyle practices, traditional herbal knowledge and several forms of yoga and mind-body practice. He also studies Indian spiritual health traditions and refers to his broader field as Indian Scientific Ancient Medical Systems.

A Health Practice Rooted in Harda

Dr. Pare’s connection with Harda goes back to his family background. He was born in the district and comes from an agricultural family. His father, Late Shri Rajendra Pare, was a farmer who was also associated with public welfare work.

His elder brother, Dr. Ankur Pare, has followed a different professional route. Dr. Ankur Pare is associated with writing, social science research and e-commerce entrepreneurship, while Dr. Ambar Pare has focused his career on health, naturopathy and traditional Indian systems.

The family connection to the Harda region also continued into Dr. Pare’s professional life after he established his centre in Duliya.

Education Began in Madhya Pradesh

Dr. Pare completed his early education in Harda before moving to Indore for higher secondary studies.

He attended St. Mary’s Co-Ed School in Harda and completed High School in 2006. He then studied at Universal Academy Higher Secondary School in Indore, where he completed his Higher Secondary education in 2008.

His professional education later moved into several health-related disciplines. His listed qualifications include a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and a Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences.

He also holds postgraduate qualifications in hospital and health management and counselling and family therapy. His other listed studies include alternative medicine, infectious diseases and diabetes mellitus.

The mix of clinical, naturopathy and health-management education has been part of his background as he moved into his current field.

Spiritual Training Influenced His Later Studies

Alongside his formal education, Dr. Pare has followed a long-standing interest in Indian spiritual traditions.

In 2005, during Guru Purnima, he and his elder brother received Guru Diksha from Pujya Gurudev Shri Jamuna Prasad Chaturvedi Ji at Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi.

The two brothers continued their spiritual studies under his guidance. The subjects included yoga, Hatha Yoga, pranayama, meditation, Ayurveda, mantra practices and traditional herbal knowledge.

The Guru tradition connected with Shri Jamuna Prasad Chaturvedi Ji is described as part of a lineage associated with Mahavatar Shri Babaji.

For Dr. Pare, this spiritual education became another area of study alongside naturopathy and yoga. His interests include Prana Science, meditation, mantra practices and subjects related to consciousness.

Naturopathy Remains a Core Area

Naturopathy is a central part of Dr. Pare’s current professional work. His practice also includes Ayurveda, yoga, pranayama and lifestyle-based approaches to health.

The methods associated with his work cover several traditional and complementary practices. These include fasting, diet therapy, water therapy, mud therapy, herbal therapy, acupressure, acupuncture and osteopathy.

Yoga-based methods listed in his work include Hatha Yoga, pranayama, mudra practices, yogic bandhas and other breathing and meditation techniques.

His professional profile also mentions practices such as Panchakarma, Marma therapy, aroma therapy, sound-based practices, colour therapy and Bach flower medicine.

Some of these methods come from Indian traditions, while others belong to broader complementary health systems. They are included in his work as part of a wider approach to natural health and wellness education.

Study of Body, Breath and Mind

A major theme in Dr. Pare’s work is the relationship between physical health, breathing, mental activity and traditional Indian concepts of energy.

His studies in Indian Ancient Spiritual Health Science include Prana Science, mantra practices, meditation, Kundalini Shakti, chakra-related practices and Yoga Nidra.

He also has an interest in mind-based and spiritual practices, including concentration, contemplation and different forms of meditation.

These subjects are studied within the framework of Indian traditional knowledge and spiritual practices. They form a separate part of his work alongside naturopathy and Ayurveda.

Centre in Duliya Started in 2020

The Dr. Ambar Pare Naturopathy Center was established in Duliya in 2020.

The centre is linked with his work in naturopathy, Ayurveda, yoga, pranayama, traditional herbal knowledge and lifestyle education.

Duliya was also a natural choice because of his family’s connection with the Harda region. The centre has since served as a base for his professional activities and health education work.

His work from the centre is part of a wider effort to study and communicate traditional approaches to health.

Health Education and Public Awareness

Apart from his practice, Dr. Pare has been involved in seminars, workshops, training sessions and public awareness programmes.

The subjects covered through these activities include Ayurveda, naturopathy, yoga, natural health, traditional Indian health systems and lifestyle practices.

His profile also records participation in expert sessions and conferences related to health and wellness. Some of these activities have involved participants from outside India.

The countries mentioned in connection with his health education activities include the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Singapore, Mauritius, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.

The international work has centred on health education, traditional Indian health knowledge and public awareness rather than a separate overseas practice base.

Professional Interests Include Research and Documentation

Dr. Pare’s academic interests extend beyond clinical and wellness practices. He has studied Indian Scientific Ancient Medical Systems, Ayurveda, naturopathy, yoga and traditional herbal knowledge.

Lifestyle management, natural health and health education are also listed among his areas of interest.

Another part of his work involves Indian spiritual health traditions, including studies related to consciousness, meditation and Prana.

His activities include study, training, documentation and communication around these subjects.

Recognitions From Health and Social Fields

Dr. Pare’s professional record includes several awards and recognitions.

A World Book of Records recognition is listed for 2018, followed by a Fellowship of the Royal Society of Medicine in 2019.

In 2023, he received the G-20 Seva Samman during the CIVIL 20 SEWA SUMMIT. The recognition was presented by Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who was then Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.

His profile also lists a Health Excellence Award in 2023, a Daily Bhaskar Healthcare Award and a Health Care Award for 2023–24.

Other honours in his profile are linked with former Madhya Pradesh ministers, including Dr. Prabhuram Choudhary and Vishwas Sarang.

The recognitions listed in his profile relate to areas such as health education, wellness, social service and public awareness.

BENGALURU, INDIA – AUGUST 08, 2026 – Dhruvreddy Industries Pvt Ltd has officially commercialized its state-of-the-art textile and apparel manufacturing hub in Bengaluru. Strategically designed to bridge traditional Indian weaving craftsmanship with high-speed automated production standards, the enterprise enters the market as a premier contract manufacturing partner for domestic fashion labels, global brands, and large-scale institutional buyers.

The company is scaling its infrastructure to address critical gaps in the modern fashion supply chain, focusing heavily on operational transparency, strict quality assurance (QA) frameworks, and global compliance standards.

“Transitioning from a fast-paced corporate career in Bengaluru back to my industrial roots allowed me to see exactly where traditional textile setups fall short of international corporate standards,” said Nelli Sneha, Founder and Managing Director of Dhruvreddy Industries. “We have engineered this ecosystem to infuse corporate discipline and advanced automation into heavy manufacturing. Our facility preserves the integrity of Indian textile craftsmanship while ensuring the rigid production timelines that modern global brands demand.”

“Global fashion brands are actively looking away from high-risk, unorganized suppliers toward highly compliant, professionally managed corporate partners,” stated Shaik Sadakvalli, Founder and Director of Dhruvreddy Industries. “With over a decade of experience scaling diverse business sectors, we have built Dhruvreddy Industries from the ground up as a scale-ready enterprise. By eliminating supply chain bottlenecks right here in Karnataka, we guarantee our B2B partners consistent quality, automated tracking, and long-term volume scalability.”

Dhruvreddy Industries Pvt Ltd has officially opened its doors for commercial contract inquiries, bulk manufacturing agreements, and corporate supply partnerships for the upcoming fiscal quarters.
